problem with Graphic mode initialization when mouse is kept idle


hello!
Here i have a poblem when my redhat linux 9 is booting up. when i keep the mouse idle just before the grahic login screen appears, it wont start graphics and will stop responding. Simply a black screen is shown.
Have u any idea?

make sure X is configured properly. You should never start in runlevel 5, you should always start at 3, than login, than 'startx'
