Problem with chroot "Exec Format Error"

Hi all,

First at all, thanks to read the thread. I have a problem with chroot. I want to deploy a system of 32bits from livecd that contains a 64bit distribution. Well the basic problem is that i can't do chroot in a jail of a 32bit system from a 64bits livecd. I test this with out any problem in normal 64bits server. I know that isn't possible do chroot in a 64bit jail from a 32bits system, but doing chroot in a 32 jail from a 64 bit system shouldn't be problematic, no?

Thanks for your time, any help are welcome.

I don't have any personal experience of using it, but in Debian the schroot package is used to run 32-bit chroots in 64-bit systems:
https://packages.debian.org/wheezy/schroot
https://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/d..._chroot_system

Sounds like you're talking about a BSD system though so I may be completely wrong here.

May be kernel on your live cd not support i386 executables?
