I'm having problem logging in to my linux server. every time I type root or any other username and press enter.. it just goes back prompting me for the login.. it didn't even ask me for a password. But I can log in thru a ssh session though.. Please help! Thanks in advance.
i can do the single login fine, but when i restarted it in normal mode, i get the same thing. I haven't look at the passwd file though.. is there anything in particular that i have to look for??
