I Have A Big Problem For Install Rhel 4ES On Hp Proliant Dl385 G2 Because Rhel Don't See Smart Array P400 With 2 Hdd 36,2 Gb Sas. I Have Download A Driver For This Controller On The Usb Drive Diskette External. When I Start Cd 1 Of Rhel With Command "linux Dd" The System Read Floppy But Not Load A Driver. I Have Call Hp Support That Say Me: The Problem Is A Drive Floppy And They Say Me Buy Hp Usb External Drive Diskette Because There Isn't Compatibility With Some Drive Diskette.

This Is Possible??????????

They may be correct with the external drive diskette. Is there an option to just place a floppy internally for the machine? If you find that it is reading the floppy, did you create the floppy correctly with the driver?

i have use external floppy drive usb samsung it read diskette but not load a driver.
i have read and excute istruction by hp site how to install cpq_cciss-2.6.16-5.rhel4.i686.dd. HP SUPPORT say me if i use hp disckette drive floppy usb external DC141B i have not problem any more.
