Do the following
>su
pwd
>gedit /etc/grub.conf

put # in front of hiddenmenu
and
put default=1 and reboot

This will boot the computer into the latest installed kernel(not the xen one) and show you the boot menu where you can select the kernel to boot into
Hope I have got your question correct :)

Edit: BTW did you manually download & install kernel before doing yum install kernel? It seems that newer version than what exists in the default repository is installed

thanku,i did what u said, but its kernel is old yet

[root@localhost ~]# gedit /etc/grub.conf

ok.thanks.it works properly.but now,how should install ip_wccp via yum?
thank u very much dear Sn68

ghabsh 03-22-2007 05:43 PM

how should install ip_wccp via yum?

sn68 03-22-2007 09:31 PM

ip_wccp does not seem to be available in yum repositories (incl freshrpms & livna)
There is an rpm available at http://rpm.pbone.net (kernel-net-ip_wccp.---.rpm) which you can download and install else you can download the tar file for ip_wccp and install

ghabsh 03-23-2007 07:21 AM

i couldnt use those rpms :
[root@localhost ~]# rpm -i kernel-net-ip_wccp-0.1-16@2.2.26_3.i386.rpm
error: Failed dependencies:
kernel-up = 2.2.26-3 is needed by kernel-net-ip_wccp-0.1-16@2.2.26_3.i386
this result gets for others trying
help me

sn68 03-23-2007 07:45 AM

The kernel version and the ip_wccp version needs to be the same, if you cant find the ip_wccp version to match your kernel, you can always install kernel(which are more easily available) to match ip_wccp version :)
