Problem in installing Redhat linux 8 in external hard drive


Hi,
I tried to install red hat linux 8 on external hard drive(transcend), but it not detecting the external drive. so i cant procede further. how to fix this issue?

If this is the RH8, codename Phoebe or Psyche, that was released yrs ago (see here http://www.smoogespace.com/documents...the_names.html) and hasn't been updated for years. It probably doesn't understand the drive.
You need a current version eg RH Fedora 9 or 10.
