Problem Changing the time zone to GMT


Hi all

I want to to change my time zone from PKT to GMT but when I do it from setup command it give the following error:


Traceback (most recent call last):
File "/usr/share/system-config-date/timeconfig.py", line 112, in ?
runConfig(rc)
File "/usr/share/system-config-date/timeconfig.py", line 90, in runConfig
timezoneBackend.writeConfig(timezone, utc, asArc)
File "/usr/share/system-config-date/timezoneBackend.py", line 52, in writeConf ig
shutil.copyfile(fromFile, "/etc/localtime")
File "/usr/lib/python2.4/shutil.py", line 42, in copyfile
raise Error, "`%s` and `%s` are the same file" % (src, dst)
shutil.Error: `/usr/share/zoneinfo/Etc/GMT` and `/etc/localtime` are the same fi le

can anyone help me in this regard please.

can anyone help me in this regard please.
Would help if you told us what version/distro of Linux you're using. And the "setup" command is vague...running that on openSUSE does nothing. Without knowing what version/distro, there's not much we can tell you.

Problem Changing the time zone to GMT

Sorry TB0ne! I forgot to mention the linux distribution...

I am using CentOS 5 and setup command is not vague it sets the time zone in gui.

so help me if have some idea.
