Problem booting Knoppmyth
Sorry, posted this in Linux Newbie as well, KnopppMyth doesn't seem to get shout as a distro. Don't know which is the correct forum, but hoping for some help!
I am in the process of building an HTPC, and want to test my video and sound card comptability quickly with KnoppMyth. I downloaded the distro, and it seems to start up nicely; however, my keyboard does not seem to function (eg, the first menu I get to, I am unable to navigate with either arrow keys or otherwise). I am using a USB wireless keyboard from Logictech, can it be that no driver is loaded for this? Note that this box does not have any 6 pin connectors for the keyboard.
MORE COLOUR: When booting, I get the following error messages:
PCI: Cannot allocate resource region 8 of bridge 0000:00:1c.0
PCI: Cannot allocate resource region 9 of bridge 0000:00:1c.0
Not Available because of resource collisions.
ide0: I/O resource 0x1F0 -0x1F7 not free
ide0: Ports already in use, skipping probe
... and then the Knoppmyth menu comes up, which I cannot navigate, as the keyboard doesn't work!
HELP!

Probably. Check the linux HCL to see if there are drivers for your wireless keyboard.
If there's no drivers available for your wireless keyboard, just get a USB keyboard.

That looks like either IRQ conflicts, or I/O port conflicts. Maybe your mobo's bios has these manually set or something. I'd poke around there to check it out. To find out what device 0000:00:1c.0 is, once your keyboard is working, just run this command:
lspci
You should see details for all your PCI hardware.

Check out the Knoppmyth forums for help with this:

I don't know about you specific keyboard problem. I have had usb wireless mouse problems with various Linux distros (like, the wireless mouse has NEVER worked with any of them!), but my usb wireless keyboard has always functioned. That's at work. At home I always use standard wired ps/2 mice and keyboards. They're cheaper, more reliable (in my experience), and don't eat up your bank account with battery purchases (my work mouse is really a battery hog!)
