Problem


having problem that one of my linux node unable to ping any node on network, and no firewall rules currently enable (in fact there isn't any rule i created) . NIC working properly.

2. on one node i defined ip address in /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0, but when i am restarting network serverice it gets old.?

Did you set it in the rc files to start-up at boot?

Otherwise,
Red Hat - /etc/rc.d/initd/network start
Solaris - /etc/rc2.d/S69 inet
Other - /etc/inet.d/network start
