Question Printing problems - strange black hole

I've got a strange printer problem and probably i my own fault.
Suddenly i can't printer from office and anywhere els.
Got the right drivers, working with KDE, didn't do anything strange lately. So i started digging. But my knowledge ran out.

When entering the printer manager and trying to configure the printer it says:
"Unable to load a valid driver for printer lp0. Error message received from manager:
Connection to CUPS server failed. Check that the CUPS server is correctly installed and running."
But the CUPS server is running

When I look into QTCups configuring is als impossible. It says:
"unable to open them file"

On the other hand i'm able to make a print tests. I can make all kinds of printer test. But when it comes to the real stuf. All commands are sucked into a black hole.

Probably i my quest for knowledge i deleted something; but what.

Kindly some help.

Marcel van der Reijken (Netherlands)
