Printing problems

I have a USB canon i560 and have been trying to get it to work. Anyways, I emerged cups which means I have all the dependancies and what not. The problem I have is lpinfo, lpadmin, and pretty much any lp command return the same thing: eg.

Code:
root@journey init.d # lpinfo -v
lpinfo: Unable to connect to server: Success

root@journey cups # lpr
lpr: error - scheduler not responding!

root@journey cups # ps aux|grep cups
root 9211 2.4 0.3 6236 3348 ? S 14:38 0:09 /usr/sbin/cupsd

Problem fixed, had added encryption support in client.conf which wasn't correctly configured and resulted in failure
