Preserving ID3 tags on my ntfs drive...

Code:

/dev/hda1      /mnt/windows        ntfs    rw,users,gid=users,umask=0002,nls=iso8859-1  0      0
That is what I have in /etc/fstab to mount my XP NTFS drive. I got the fourth value (or rather, series of values) from a web site - I'm somewhat new to Linux. So anyway, I can finally open and play mp3s with Rhythmbox, without running it as root even, which is nice. But here's my question - Rhythmbox isn't reading iTunes tags perfectly, and all my ratings are showing up as three stars - and some other info doesn't get read properly either, although the basics (name artist etc.) do. Is that going to save in Rhythmbox and therefore screw up my ratings in iTunes in Windows? If so, how can I prevent that?

I'm running Ubuntu 5.04 Hoary for AMD64 on hdb and XP Home SP1 on hda, I guess that's the only relevant info.

Thanks for any help.

Hmm, since you can't write to ntfs drives in linux I wouldn't worry about it. You must not like your mp3 collection if you've enabled it in the kernel. you had to have read the warnings.

What does enabling it in the kernel mean? I didn't see any warnings...
