pr0blemz enabling ide-scsi emulation >,<


H0W DO U DO THIS RIGHT!?

trying to burn ... NE THING ... k3d keeps telling me it doesnt' support atapi emulation only ide-scsi...

same with gear-gui, i tried make menuconfig and enabling messing around in there (mainly enabling scsi-emulation and taking off atapi emulation) and tried reconfiguring kernal didn't w0rk..

als0 added the lines append="hdd=ide-scsi" (hdd is where it is located) in my lilo.conf
that didn't w0rk either....

i'm running slack 9 with kernal 2.4

can ne 0ne help? i'll p0st whatever u need...........

When you add the lines to lilo.conf did you rerun lilo?

Then you need to reboot the PC.

If everything works the output of
cdrecord --scanbus

should show the cdwriter.

In addition to having SCSI emulation loaded for a device during boot (using Lilo or Grub, as you did) you may also have to load the ide-scsi module - modprobe ide-scsi.

i think i restarted lilo wasn'tsure what the command was (i jus entered "lilo" and it seemd to restart without ne problems. and still n0thing w0rked... als0 i have the ide-scsi mod loaded it's jus not being used by nething =\ ne suggestions?
