ppd driver installation

dear ,

i downloader ppd driver for epson dotmatrix printer, i copied the same to /usr/share/cups/model , and cups restarted but it is not showing in printer drivers.

also one more thing how can i edit printer settings of already existing ppd files.

i'd install printconf if you don't have it now.

Google gives many hits on "printconf". A quick glance tells me it's probably accessible thru your package manager.
What distro are you using.
