postfix and dovecot help
 

ok im having trouble configure dovecot as the imap server, i need it for users in my website gangsta77.org

and also to configure postfix as the email server i just edit the file /etc/postfix/main.cf and make mydomain the following?

what are you actually having trouble with in Dovecot? Just saying it's not working isn't going to get us very far.

Generally for postfix it's a pretty simple fix. You may have various requirements that don't fit the default configuration though. AFAIR, the mydomain value is the only essential value to change, mynetworks may also be required if you're not sending from the machine itself. If you're sending out to the web, you may benefit from using an ISP provided relay host, but that depends on your hosting environment.
