Polling a text file

This question has probably been asked before and it probably has a simple solution, but I have no idea what the formal name of this is so I have no way of searching for it.

I'm compiling a numerical weather model which takes quite a while to fully compile (90 min or so). I've been having issues with it compiling and need to watch the output from the compiler for errors (or I waste 90 minutes compiling garbage).

I am already dumping the output to a compile.log file and I have been using 'grep Error compile.log' to periodically check it for error statements. Is there a way with more, less or some other viewer, that I can pipe the grep results into and have it refresh every few seconds or so? That way I can just work on other stuff and occasionally glance up to see if an error occured.
