Unhappy Please help me about ftp access

Hello for all...

I have red hat Linux 9.1 but I could not be login into ftp by root user, there is a message appear: vsftp Permission is deny.

Please any body help me in investigate my problem.

Check if "root" exists in /etc/vsftpd.ftpusers and/or /etc/vsftpd.user_list.
Try removing the entry from here and restart xinetd. Maybe that'll help.

Logging in as root using ftp is not a very good idea because your root password will go over the network as plain text.
