please help, can't boot
hi,
i just finished installing RH8 on my 10 gb hdd using second partition, the first partition being for win98. during the installation process, i didn't want to install any boot manager counting on making a boot disk on floppy disk. but the boot disk seems be corrupted and now i can't boot into linux.
how can i boot into linux? or, do i have to go through reinstalling entire RH again just so i can make a boot disk or install grub?
please help me...
sincerely,
jk

First of all, you don't need to reinstall :)
Boot of your install floppy/cd and select
the rescue-choice that I believe RH offers...
Once there it would make sense to install
lilo in the MBR, never had any troubles with
it ... much faster and more convenient than a
boot-floppy ...
Cheers,
Tink

first off i would tell you to make your bootloader lilo, most likely that would work better for you, but i don't know anyone that has objections bud in, Becuase i never used grub *haha* But anyway, Yeah you have to create a bootdisk or you don't have to, and if it is lilo you should see
"linux
DOS"
and you can select between either of those everytime you bootup ;]
