pkg config problem

hi i installed pkg. ( 0.15 )
i wanted to install glib 2.2.0
i have done that.

when i try to install pango

i get this error message:

configure: error:checking for GLIB - version >= 2.1.3...

can any one please help me what to do?
i realy need pango because i want to install gimp
