Make certain to upgrade apache, and php from the slackware patches to 8.1, there were some serious issues fixed with mod_php 4.2.2.
What you're going to need to do is uncomment the line:
Include /etc/apache/mod_php.conf
from the end of /etc/apache/httpd.conf
My guess is also that you're going to be running squirrelmail, but regardless, funnel that puppy through https, you'll need to upgrade mod_ssl too.
Cheers,
Finegan

download the upgrade, for instance, all of these would be a good start:
apache-1.3.26-i386-2.tgz mod_ssl-2.8.10_1.3.26-i386-1.tgz openssl-solibs-0.9.6e-i386-1.tgz
glibc-2.2.5-i386-3.tgz
openssh-3.4p1-i386-2.tgz
php-4.2.2-i386-1.tgz
glibc-solibs-2.2.5-i386-2.tgz
openssl-0.9.6e-i386-1.tgz
From the Slackware 8.1 patches directory on you favorite up to date ftp mirror, and then drop the machine to runlevel 1 with:
init 1
then
installpkg glibc-2.2.5-i386-3.tgz
and so on, it'll take about half an hour to do them all, but Patrick released right before the apache AND ssh debacles, so nothing like keeping current.
Cheers,
Finegan
