Php extensions won't load
 

I've got a php extension that I'm trying to load using the extension=php_mapscript.so directive in my php.ini file. This was working wonderfully until I recompiled the extension to include gdal support. Now it doesn't load! Can anyone tell me why it won't load? Any help is much appreciated!!

Btw, Apache 2.0, php 4.3.6, Redhat 9 - anything else?
