Yes it does. My problem is that while I can download an image and change it's contents, I can't resize it or add objects. Even if I erased part of an image , the empty space still reserve its space in nvu. Can you tell me how to avoid that or add objects.

Thanks;

Could you post a precise list of your needs for graphic software,
there are many, each good for a specific usage

The most basic is xpaint, but for design I would only consider gimp
maybe with sodipodi for vector jobs, and of course image magik
to do convert format and resize images jobs from command line

Tuxpaint is for kids.
xpaint is simple.
If you are using KDE there is Kolourpaint.
For detailed/complex editing GIMP or Cinepaint.

And if you want a photoshop replacement.. The Gimp is as close as it gets..

I use to swear by Photoshop but now I only use The Gimp.

Another option, though it would really be overkill once you'd learned a bit of the GIMP: do what I did (early on in my Linux "career") and run the Windows version of Photoshop under Linux with CrossOver Office . Of course, you have to have a (legal) copy of Photoshop, and CrossOver isn't free.

I didn't think I could live without Photoshop when I migrated to Linux; it didn't take me long to discover that, all things considered, the GIMP is superior when you take the time to learn it.
