LABEL=/ / ext3 defaults 1 1
LABEL=/boot /boot ext3 defaults 1 2
none /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0
none /proc proc defaults 0 0
none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
/dev/hdb3 swap swap defaults 0 0
/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,owner,kudzu,ro 0 0
/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto noauto,owner,kudzu 0 0
/dev/fd1 /mnt/floppy1 auto noauto,owner,kudzu 0 0
/dev/hda1 /mnt/windows ntfs users,defaults 0 0

I tried the users thing ... it put "windows" on my desktop, but I can't open it up unless I'm in root still

Fixed it! Here's my finished fstab:

LABEL=/ / ext3 defaults 1 1
LABEL=/boot /boot ext3 defaults 1 2
none /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0
none /proc proc defaults 0 0
none /dev/shm tmpfs defaults 0 0
/dev/hdb3 swap swap defaults 0 0
/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,owner,kudzu,ro 0 0
/dev/fd0 /mnt/floppy auto noauto,owner,kudzu 0 0
/dev/fd1 /mnt/floppy1 auto noauto,owner,kudzu 0 0
/dev/hda1 /mnt/windows ntfs umask=0227,uid=root,gid=orange400 0 0

When I tried Jay's suggestion, I put username into my fstab, not my username! Whoops, now it's working very well. Thanks for everybody's help!
