Permission for zipdrive

Hi,

I've got a box that is running 'Drake8.0. The zipdrive is a parallel port zip plus. The imm driver is loading, and 'Drake sees it, but I can't access it even as root. I can't even chmod it. I even tried to manually mount and unmount. Been over the howto for zips untill my eyes bled. Not much on trouble shooting them.

I checked my fstab and it looks ok to me. /mnt/zip /mnt/zip supermount fs=vfat, dev=/dev/zip 0,0. All other drives work fine.

The drive is functional, works under windoze and Debian. I'd put Deb on this box, but SWMBO prefers 'Drake (she wants to admin "her" box).

Any ideas and/or RTFM's will appercitated:D

do you have a /dev/zip link pointing to /dev/where_my_zip_is_connected ?

Sorry about the delay,

Yes it is linked. I wonder if it is correct though, shouldn't it be linked to dev/sda instead of dev/zip?
