Is there a way to insert the pcmcia sandisk card i have into my slot on my laptop. I want to read and write to it like a floppy. I guess its not trivial as I thought.... or is it?

well, the read/write will be more like to a hard drive than a floppy, but yes, you need to compile in pcmcia (and cardbus) services, then under ATAPI_IDE comple in pcmcia ide, you probably will also want to download and compile in the pcmcia_cs package as well.
Arnt the pcmcia services already compiled with the newest versions of rehat and suse? If not where do I get them. Also im not sure what you mean about ATAPI_IDE. Im not real experienced with this stuff.
