PCLinux and Freespire won't install!

Hey there guys, I downloaded both distos and I wasted like, 3 or 4 CD's on EACH thinking it'd be just some bad burn.- None of them worked.
-I checksummed the ISOS, it said by both are correct.
- I burnt them in various speeds, thinking it'd be a bad burn. They all didn't work.
- I redownloaded them, thinking it's just a bad download, checksum was fine, burnt them, still didn't seem to work.

I don't know what to do! I tried that all, and all I ever get is the GRUB command thingy. But nothing else...am I supposed to get the GRUB commandline or something?

First I recommend that you start using rewritable media.

Next, the GRUB prompt will usually last about 30 seconds and then the machine will automatically boot Linux. You can press the <Enter> key to make it boot right away.

when I press <enter> it just types "grub" again and wants me to type something. I did the waiting 30 seconds thing and it still wanted me to type in commands...:(
uhh...rewritable media...<.< *hasn't thought about that*. Good idea. XD

Freespire won't install...

Freespire took almost 8 hours to install on my Dell Latitude CP, at first I thought it too was bad CD, but I had time to kill on my weekend, so I timed the install. Just to get the first boot screen it was a 2 hr ordeal. then 8hours to install?!?! I thought Linux left to build me a computer from the outside world. Turns out that it worked okay except that I had a stretched 800x600 display. Why couldn't Linux stick with the Knoppix Framebuffer subroutine, That works just fine. So just wait a bit longer it will come up eventually...
