Patching for GME965 support

Please, help me to solve such a problem.

I want to install Gentoo on my laptop with GME965 graphics. Everything is OK, until I don't deal with grapics. The native resolution (1280x800) can't be reached without 915resolution tool, but this tool gives me such a message after launch:

Code:
Intel chipset detected. However, 915resolution was unable to determine the chipset type.
Chipset Id: 2a108086
Nevertheless, evrything works fine with ubuntu on the same hardware (it has correct resolution even during boot process). So there should be some patch that allows to get native resolution. I've searched ubuntu patches, and I don't see anything like what I need. Please, help, how can I get correct graphics mode on my hardware? Maybe someone had the same problem and solved it successfully?

I know you may say I should use something simpler at this time, but I need Gentoo, I read manuals and handbooks, and this is one problem holding me from going on.

I need only framebuffer for now, no X needed.

Thanks.
