I assume that you have the GRUB bootloader (installed when RH5 was installed)
Reboot the computer. When the GRUB menu appears, hit any key to stop the countdown. If you have a graphical login screen, hit escape to get into text mode. Select Fedora, then "e" (for edit), select the kernel line, then "e" again. At the end of the line, add the word "single" (no quotes). Hit return, and then "b" to boot.
You will now be in a terminal mode with no password required. Then change the password by typing "passwd root". Enter your new password and reboot.
