passwd - direct parameters

Hello guys, now i got problem with this :

If i run passwd user , it get me into interactive mode, but command will be executed by script, not by human, there is useradd .. -p password user , but I cannot login as that user, where should be problem ? It is really urgent!

Is this the command you are looking for:

echo password | passwd --stdin username
