Hello
Considering it appears 90% full, am I safe in assuming you wish to clone it to a bigger drive? If so, the easy way is to download and burn any one of a number of Linux Recovery LiveCDs (I'm rather partial to Hirens) and use Clonezilla for a disk to disk or partition to partition clone.

I'm not certain of this as I don't use VMWare. I just know vmdk is compatible with Norton Ghost and Clonezilla is sort of Ghost for Linux. You will have to check documentation to see if it is indeed compatible.
