also, you don't need to add 2 more (I am assuming you meant another root and swap partiitions) partitions. You would only need to add one more (the root of the new distro) and then use the same partition you have now as swap for the new partition as well (in essence sharing the swap partition between multiple distros). Hope this makes sense. In what ever you do, you still need to resize your current partitions to accomidate the new one/s. Just like jschiwal said, you can only have 4 primary partitions, if you want more then one of them needs to be an extended partition in order to add more partitions.
