Partitions

I am trying to install Red Hat 7.3 using Virtural PC. Red Hat won't partition the space automatically. Can someone tell me which partitions I need and what size they need to be. I have 10GB of disk space and 128 RAM. I am new to linux and was wanting to try it out.

I'd strongly recommend you read VPC doc especially regarding installation of RH/Linux on a Mac HD. I know there's a tool for partitioning/initialising HD for Mac. But it's most likely too late to do that since all Mac are partitioned as one big HDs.

For PC, it doesn't matter which partition to use. Size should be 2.5GB+. It's vague. Everybody's install is slightly different.
