I am working on a WIN2000 P.C. I have an 8GB HD with only one partition. I want to install Linux onto it for which I have to create a partition. Can any one suggest a s/w which will create a partition
without losing my windows data.
"PQMagic" and "Ranish Partition Magic" doesnt work on this( win2k)
Any software or website where I can download

Hello! Sounds like you need server magic. That is what I use here at work. Works well!!

I have the same situation, so I got partion Commander, and used the floppy disk to partition the drive. Worked perfectly fine.

just remember that you may have to assign your new partition as extended and possibly format it so your particular distro will set up easily.
