I am an sales professional in the Denver area and am trying desperately to not go back to WinXP and Outlook. My problems are focused primarily with Evolution and Outlook. My corporate office is not local to my office in Denver and I will most likely not be able to get them to use the Ximian plugin for exchange. I need to be able to sync my evolution mail, contacts and calendar with the corporate information.
1) How can I work "somewhat seamlessly" within the corporate framework without drawing too much attention to my alternative methods of daily activity tracking?
|
Outlook and Ximian have different features.Ximian supports PGP through GnuPG whereas Outlook would
never support PGP.So if you are looking for a seamless work,I suggest that you use features compatilble to both.

2) How can I set Evolution to auto scan outbound email for spelling errors?

On last count Ximian doesnot support spelling error correction. But it is feature rich and I think is definately a good choice as compared to Outlook.

3) Is there another application that I should use instead of (or in conjunction to) Evolution?

something like aspell for error corrections.
First you may have to buy the Ximian Connector(costs around $70) which enable Ximian Evolution to act as a
Microsoft Exchange client.
