outgoing mails are defered in mailq

Hi,

I have red hat linux 7.2 mail server .Suddenly ,it started giving problem ..

I can able to ping the domain server ,aND receive the mails .
but if i use nslookup , it is unable to solve the domain ip address
says connection timed out and mails are defered in the queue .

"hosts lookup failure ,mails are defered"

Can any one help me in sorting out this prob..

1.rpm -e qmail
2.rpm -e qmail*.rpm

i used sendmail,it better than qmail.
