out of Hard drive space

Hi everyone,

I've got myself a problem! My system partition (4GB) is full!

I have two questions in regards to this problem:

First is: Is there any software that would allow me to create somethig like a chart of RPM dependancies. So I could see what needs who to run. I suspect that I have a tonn of useless soft and libraries that I've installed sometime in the past, but never got to use.

Second is: I have quite a large Windows partition. But I almost NEVER use Windows (Linux got all I can ask for and even more + it's easier to use). So, is there a way to cut an unused peace of windows partition and add it to Linux one without a need to reformat?

Thanks to all who comes to my aid

Best wishes,

it-s

You might be able to use ntfsresize to get some space away from Windows for the system.

If you have installed Fedora/Red Hat distibution, you have a add/remove packages program. This will help you remove the unwanted packages you have installed onto ur system.

I have SUSE here. It has YAST which is pretty good packgage manager. But I wish I could explore my installed software in tree mode. Like so:

Software 1
|
+->Depends on Lib 1
+->Depends on Lib 2
+->etc.

Software 2
|
+->Depends on Lib 2
+->Depends on Lib 3
+->etc.

etc.

Thanks to all
