OS loader
Hi,
I'm using OS loader to dual boot Win2k and Slackware. I use this command
# dd if=/dev/hda4 of=/tmp/bootsect.lnx bs=1 count=512
and copy bootsect.lnx to c: and edit the boot.ini file.
hda1 is c: hda2 is d: hda3 is swap.
When I select Linux during bootup, nothing happens.
What's wrong?
is there a need to configure Lilo.conf?

have you configured lilo to boot from hda4? If in doubt,please send your /etc/lilo.conf.

yes,
boot = /dev/hda4
image = /boot/vmlinuz
root = /dev/hda4
I'm running dual booting with win2k. Is that okay?
I've also tried installing lilo to the root partition at hda4.
What else should I try?

When the lilo.conf is OK, run
lilo
to install lilo and then use the dd command, copy the result file etc and test it.
