Oracle Installation on Linux 9

hi!
I am trying to install Oracle 9i on a machine installed with Red Hat Linux 9. But whenever I try to start the installation it, it says "Java not found in /usr/local/java", even though java 1.4.1 is installed and is integrated with the Netscape browser. Is there some way I can set the symlink for the Oracle. When it starts the installation do I have to prepare aything else for it? Please help with details
Thanks

Instead of making a big fuss about it. Just go and download the latest version of java, and install it, direct from sun. This will put it in /usr/local/java as oracle and other programs like. Redhat placed it wherever they wanted to, and its not going to eat all your hard drive space to have the latest and greatest installed. :) Then, if you want, you can even update the plugins for Netscape and the rest of linux so it all uses the latest version.

I would suggest that you take a look at this:

http://www.idevelopment.info/data/Or.../LINUX_5.shtml

While the versions are not an exact match to what you are working with, I believe that you will find it close enough to get your through your installation issues, specifically in how to get Oracle to see Java on your box, or failing that how to reinstall Java so that it will work with Oracle.

Happy hunting.
