Optimizing Linux Mint for Touchscreens

Hi everyone,
I have a question regarding whether there was any way to make Linux Mint more usable from a touchscreen standpoint. If there were any custom kernels or software bits thath might correspond to that.

I believe that touchscreen functionality resides in the kernel.

According to this article in the Arch Wiki (always an excellent reference), there are ways to callibrate the touchscreen using evtouch.

You might want to search for evtouch in the Mint repos; if you don't find it, the evtouch website has instructions on how install and configure it.
