OpenSSH

Could someone help me with using SSH. I collocate 6 Internet servers and I need to modify some files, such as php.ini, and httpd.conf.

I also need to remotely install Image Magick.

I have never used SSH and I develop on a Windows box. What do I use to connect to my servers via SSH? Is there a special software?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

just use any ssh client you want. plain old "ssh" in unix, or a client like puTTY in windows. once youre' connected, what you do is up to you... software installation is just as trivial as it is locally.

Is there somewhere I can go to find a list of commands to use once I have logged in. For example, I would like to add a line of code to my php.ini file. I can get to the directory where the file is, but I would like to display the contents before editing.

I have searched for these commands but with no luck.
