Only can open one window

The outlet was loose on my PC, when I secured the plug in the outlet, a spark came. Since then, I am only able to open one window. I am using LINUX(Red Hat) as my operating system. What do I need to do to fix or can it be fixed?

Can you explain what you mean by only being able to open one window? And the plug going into the outlet, was that the power cord leading to your box (the cpu tower)?

yes the plug going into the outlet, was that the power cord leading to my box (the cpu tower). I can only have one window meaning I cannot open up two programs or if I am on the internet I can not have two browsers open.
