Question Old Laptop

I have an old Laptop with a 100Mhz Processor and 16MB of ram. It has an 800MB HDD and I am looking to put linux on it. Can someone suggest a build of linux that would work best with it and would be the easiest to use on it. Thanks all.

P.S. its a Toshiba satellite 205cds

If you're looking for a full version of linux, and not a stripped down one, then I would suggest Slackware. You can still make a bunch of floppies and load it that way, or load a couple floppies with a network Kernel and load the rest over ethernet.

You could also follow this link and do what this guy did with vector linux.

This is not a Distro in the normal sense, is a project to install Linux on old machines, with scripts to install the necessary packages from RedHat CDs or through a network.

Is a bit limited but you can install the software you want afterwards.
