old apache2 problem

I'm having what i think is an old problem whith apache2 (running 0n Suse8.2): it works fine when conecting with the wan ip of my computer or with my fully qualified domain name but when trying to conect to 127.0.0.1 i get an error window saying "unable to conect to 127.0.0.1" and when using "localhost" nescape navigator goes to the search page because it does not understand the address.
In the httpd.conf file i have the lines: Listen 127.0.0.1:80, Listen localhost:80.
Any clue?

Is 127.0.0.1 listed also in your hosts file as localhost, etc??

Will you please excuseme: i was mixing up two httpd.conf files. The server is working fine.
As a small explanation i may say that i had, and still have, problems with samba for i haven't been able to run swat at localhost:901, so i thoought i had the same kind of problem with apache. Now apache is solved but swat...
Thank you anyway

Chau
