oggenc and mp3


is there any other ogg vorbis encoder besides oggenc?
and it has often been said that ogg vorbis is better than mp3
why is that?

ogg is patent free for one. other ogg encoders? i've tried grip and it used oggenc. haven't tried other encoders for CD audio to OGG.

oggenc *IS* the encoder. 'Vorbis' is what you call the compress audio media MMMM Woohooo for vorbis - I lub it!
