Odd VMware issue. (disk space recognition)
 

I installed vmware4 today on my linux box and when I attempt to install w2k server in vmware it all appears to work ok but the install program claims I only have about 4 gig of space when I actually have about 40 gig. Anyone seen this before?

check your phoenix bios settings and your virtual machine settings. disk sizes are reported there.

and also, the real, physical disk size should not be seen as a whole by the win2k installer. it should only see the size allocated to your virtual machine setup.
