Odd Question...
Does anyone know of a script (or know how to write one) that will check the IP of a certain NIC and the write those results to a file? (Then after that, upload the file to a website at some ISP -- if possible -- )
Andy PS - just incase you are wondering why I need one, my ISP has for some reason over the last week been changing my IP every day and I need some central/global place to find out what my current ip is without running a server (otherwise I would run dyndns and find out there - but I dont want to). Reason being is because I work on my computer from work, so with a new IP address being assigned around noon every day, I am up a creek without a paddle... |
Why cant you use DynDNS?? I dont follow the bit about the need for a server. It sounds to me like DynDNS is just what you need.
