I run all Linux on my little happy home network, but now I want to dual boot another Linux distro (I use RH 7.2 not and want to dual boot Lycoris). Any suggestion on how I can put another Linux distro on my 'chine and be able to boot either? I use grub as my boot manager, but can switch to LILO if need be.
Yes this is an easy one.The second (and third, fourth etc..) distro will need it's own root partition but all of them can share the same swap, just edit your lilo/grub config file to point the the new distro(s).
It works like a champ. In case someone else someone else wants to follow this thread and do the same thing, I took the boot parameters from my boot diskette for the new distro, which I installed in its own root partition (thanks to Aussie). The Lizard installer found and used the existing swap, no problemo. En todo esta muy bien, y esta muy divertido!
