Occasional hibernation on Debian 3.1rev1

Okay people, I'm desperate. I've been searching for an answer for about a month and still no results. My computer hibernates without any known cause even if there is some activity, like programs running. The only thing that stops it from doing that is pressing any key on the keyboard, any other solutions don't work. The screensaver is disabled, I'm using 2.4.27-2-386 kernel, Debian stable. I haven't experienced such problems with any other distros I have ever used. I probably won't ask for a solution, because nobody answered my earlier posts about this in various forums or IRC or anywhere else, so I want to ask if someone of you could please write me some script or something, that imitates keyboard key presses every, let's say, 10 minutes or so, or at least tell me how I could do something like that. Oh, and by the way, I noticed a strange thing: when I ripped a cd with sound juicer and it gave me a message, that the ripping has been finished and I left the message untouched (I didn't click OK or whatever it said there) the hibernations stopped until I clicked OK on that message :)

Today I noticed, that hibernation stops if sound juicer is at least launched...
