Nvidia driver on a powerpc under Ubuntu
Hi all,
I'm having trouble viewing videos in fullscreen with mplayer because of glx being disabled. One workaround would be to use mplayer -vo sdl -fs <filename>, but that's not convenient for me as I prefer GUIs over command line. Now, this is my first iMac machine with a Geforce4 440, and would really like to get linux up and running. Nvidia doesn't apparently support powerpc architecture.http://www.nvidia.com/content/drivers/drivers.asp Moreover, the following https://wiki.ubuntu.com/BinaryDriverHowto/Nvidia in Ubuntu's wiki says to install nvidia-glx, which is again not available for the PPC. I hate the idea of reverting to OSX, 'cause of a single issue. Anybody? Thanks in advance. |

Nevermind. I got totem to work fullscreen with the nv drivers. Thanks anyway.
