Nvidia Driver Installation on Live(Ram-based system, like slax/knoppix)
I just setup a few of the live disks that run off of the ram. Is there anyway for me to install the nvidia drivers to memory? or is there a workaround for the nvidia compatability issues. Anyway, I'm going to keep searching for a way to fix this, but any help would be greatly appreciated.

You only need to find a live-distro that allows write-access
to /lib/modules /usr/X11R6/lib and comes with the kernel sources :) Or you rip the NVidia-installer apart and fix it to create the modules in writeable places, use insmod instead of modprobe for the kernel-level module and edit the XF86Config's path's to lib to also reflect where the nvidia modules live. Please can you tell me what the problem is with the Nvidia mother boards and Linux, and is there a way round it. I have the Nvidia board and have tried to install Lycoris Desktop/LX, but it just wont have it. I have however managed to install Knoppix 3.3 to completion. I have not tried it out very much, so i am not sure if eveything would work on it. Regards. Bobby.
